Perry County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) offers these support groups:

Better Breathers

This support group benefits patients and families dealing with respiratory problems. This group offers new ideas, techniques, and innovations to help patients better cope with and understand respiratory problems. The groups meet quarterly. For more information or to inquire about the next meeting, call 573-768-3353.

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy

CST is a group therapy program that helps assist in early intervention and treatment of Alzheimer’s, a form of dementia. This is a seven week program that meets for one hour, twice a week. If you or a family member are 55 years or older and suffer from mild memory loss or feel the need to be screened for memory issues, please contact your physician for a referral or call 573-768-3387.

Medicare Open Enrollment

Notice to Medicare Recipients:

October 15th – December 7th is the open enrollment period for your 2015 coverage.  Before making changes to your insurance coverage, please contact your physician’s office to verify they are in network with the plan you are choosing.

 

Perry County Memorial Hospital, Perryville Family Care Clinic, Perry County Women‘s Care, Perry County Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Perryville Surgical Clinic, Perry County Physician Services, PFCC West, Mohammad Moaddabi, M.D., Marlon Torrento, M.D., PCMH Rheumatology and PCMH Counseling Center are providers for Medicare and Care Improvement Plus (Medicare Replacement Policy). 

 

If choosing a Medicare Replacement Policy, please be aware that you are replacing your Medicare benefits and some services may not be covered or may be subject to additional payments due from the patient.

 

Vendors from other areas are presenting “provider books” with our local physicians’ names listed when we are not, in fact, providers.

 

Before changing your plan, please call for assistance in making the best decision for you.  We encourage you to call the Missouri State Health Insurance Assistance Program at 1-800-390-3330 or visit missouriclaim.org for independent advice on your coverage.  Southeast Missouri Aging Matters is another valuable resource.  They can be reached at 573-335-3331.
