Mr. Carron began his career in healthcare as an RN at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis University and St. Anthony’s Hospital. From 1990 to 1993 his career included time at Carroll County Memorial Hospital as Director of Patient Care Services. He joined Perry County Memorial Hospital in July, 1993 as the Vice President of Operations/Assistant Administrator and was promoted to President/CEO in October, 2005.
He earned his Masters in Healthcare Administration from Washington University School of Medicine, located in St. Louis, in 1989, and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University School for Health Sciences and Nursing in 1986. He completed a fellowship in Healthcare Administration with St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City in 1989.
Professional affiliations include Fellowship in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives Regent’s Advisory Council. Mr. Carron was awarded the Regents Award by ACHE to the Healthcare Executive Early Careerist for the State of Missouri in 2004.
Mr. Carron is presently serving the Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Services as a Community Board Member. He serves as a board member to the Healthcare Services Group, a professional membership organization of the Missouri Hospital Association which provides general and medical liability insurance to many Missouri hospitals and physicians. He is a Board Member of Primarus, Missouri’s CMS (Medicare) vendor for monitoring hospital healthcare quality and physician quality and peer review. He is presently serving on the Board to the Missouri Hospital Association.
Mr. Carron is a member of the Perryville Area Chamber of Commerce, previously serving on their board and as their board president. He is active with the Perryville Community Champs (Big Brother) Program. Mr. Carron is married to wife Kathy, an RN and homemaker. They have 5 children.
