Patrick E. Carron, MHA, FACHE

President/CEO

Patrick Carron received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1986 at St. Louis University School for Health Sciences and Nursing. He earned a Master's degree in Health Care Administration from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, in 1989. He completed a fellowship in Health Care Administration in 1989 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City.

Mr. Carron began his career in health care as a Registered Nurse at Barnes Hospital and St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. From 1990 to 1993 he was the Director of Patient Care Services at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Missouri. He joined Perry County Memorial Hospital in July 1993 as the Vice President of Operations/Assistant Administrator and was promoted to President/CEO in October 2005.

Mr. Carron is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He was awarded the Regents Award by ACHE for the Healthcare Executive Early Careerist Missouri in 2004.  He has been licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in past years to support PCMH’s working relationship with Independence Care Center of Perry County.

He is also on the board of trustees of the Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Services. He is a board member to the Healthcare Services Group, a professional membership organization of the Missouri Hospital Association that provides general and medical liability insurance to many Missouri hospitals and physicians. He formerly served as a board member of Primarus, Missouri's CMS (Medicare) vendor for monitoring hospital health care quality as well as physician quality and peer review. He serves on the board to the Missouri Hospital Association and will assume the Chairman’s role in 2016.

Mr. Carron is a member of the St. Louis Archdiocese Peace and Justice Commission, and serves as a board member of the Association of the Miraculous Medal Association in Perryville, Missouri.  He is a member of the Perryville Area Chamber of Commerce and has served in the past on its board and as their board president.

Mr. Carron is married to Kathy Carron, a part-time outpatient surgery registered nurse, and civic volunteer serving as Chairwoman of the School District #32 School Board and Chairwoman of the Perry County Senate Bill 40 Board.  They have five beloved children and one dear daughter-in-law.
